Entry Fees: £15.00 per class (£12.00 for S&WD PC Members)

First Aid Levy is included in entry fees.

Please note all entries are subject to a non-refundable booking fee of £1.45

Classes 6, 7 & 8 are friendly competitions run to prepare for Area Competitions for the Barrier Animal
Health Spring Festival 2024 and Regional Champs as there are no preliminary rounds in 2024.

Timings

CLASSES START AT 9am PROMPTLY and are SINGLE PHASE

Times will be given for each competitor and must be strictly adhered to. These will be posted on the Spooners & W Dartmoor Pony Club website https://branches.pcuk.org/spoonerswestdartmoor/ and Facebook page by 6pm on Monday 25th December. Times will also be emailed to Team Managers.

NUMBERS – Competitors please print off your number and bring your own number bib which must be worn over all clothing in the collecting rings to help stewards identify you.

RULES AND CONDITION OF ENTRY

RULES
Entries are accepted and admission granted only subject to the following conditions and it is a condition of entry that these have been accepted by each competitor.
• All classes will be run in accordance with Pony Club Show Jumping Rules 2023. You can view the rules at www.pcuk.org.
• The organisers have taken every precaution to ensure the health and safety of everyone present.
For these measures to be effective everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the instructions of the organiser and all officials and stewards.
• Save for the death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the organisers, or anyone for whom they are in law responsible, neither the organisers of this event or The Pony Club nor any agent, employee or representative of these bodies, nor the Landlord or his tenant, accepts any liability for any accident, loss, damage, injury or illness to horses, owners, riders, spectators, land,
cars, their contents or accessories, or any other personal property whatsoever, whether caused by their negligence, breach of contract or in any other way whatsoever. Entries are only accepted on this basis.
• The Judge’s decision is final and any objections must be accompanied by £25 deposit which will be returned if upheld.
• Horse/Pony must be 4 years or over on day of show
• Each horse/pony may only compete once in a class
• No rider/horse or pony combination can be ridden in more than 2 classes
• Tack and Hat check at indoor warm up arena
• All dogs must be kept on a short lead.
• All droppings to be picked up and taken home.
• Ages as at date of the competition
• Classes will be run as SINGLE PHASE and the second half will be timed
• The Organisers reserve the right to refuse entry without stating a reason and also to eliminate any competitor who in their opinion places themselves or others in danger or fails to observe the rules.

GENERAL GUIDELINES FOR THE TEAM SHOW JUMPING
• Team Declarations from Team Managers to be sent to the Secretary
mary00harper@btopenworld.com in an email by 12 noon on Saturday 23rd December. The show
secretary will email you a list of your Branch entries after the closing date to facilitate your task!
• Teams will be of three or four riders, best three scores will count
• One competitor may ride no more than two horses/ponies in the same team
GUIDANCE FOR THOSE HOPING TO QUALIFY FOR MINI CHAMPS
• Any combination of horse/rider may not compete at Mini Champs where the height is 30cm lower
than that at which they have previously competed. Riders who have competed at Regional Show
Jumping or Eventing competitions are not eligible for the Mini Championships. Those rules do NOT
apply to competing at this event, but will exclude you from qualification for Mini Champs.
• LEAD REIN RIDERS – must remain on the lead rein at all times whilst in the ring including entering
and leaving the ring and whilst warming up.
• ASSISTED RIDERS – One adult is allowed to assist in the ring whilst the competitor jumps his/her
round. PLEASE NOTE – No contact to be made with rider or pony whilst in the ring including entering
and leaving the ring.
• Classes 1-5: Top 2 eligible Pony Club teams and top 3 eligible Pony Club Individuals qualify for the
Pony Club Mini Championships in each section.
• Results will be online at www.ponyclubresults.co.uk and a list of Mini Champs qualifiers sent to
DC’s.

WITHDRAWALS AND REFUNDS

Entry fee refunded up to close of entries, thereafter only if the place is filled from any waitlist.

All entries are subject to a non-refundable booking fee as stated online.

Cancellation: Full refund if we cancel the event minus a £2 admin fe

This event is being organised by Spooners & West Dartmoor Pony Club. Equine Bookings is acting as the booking agent for this event, enabling you to book online, for which you will be charged a booking fee per space which will be added to your cart.

As booking agents, we accept no responsibility for the actual provision of any event for which you purchase event tickets for. Our responsibilities are limited to providing the online platform to enable you to purchase tickets. The booking fee is the separate non-refundable charge we make to you for facilitating the booking. Your contract is held with the Promoter/event organiser.

We only share your data with that of the third party organiser of the specific event you entered. We do not share your data with third parties for marketing purposes. The Organisers of the events published on the Horse Events website have all agreed to the following statement before we published the event and give them access to your data for the purpose of entering their event.

DIRECTIONS FROM THE EAST OR NORTH
From the M5 Junction 31 follow signs onto the A30 West, clearly signed to Okehampton/Bodmin. Continue along the dual carriageway to the exit sign-posted Okehampton (B3260), then exit the A30. At the end of the slip-road (with the BP garage on your left), turn right and drive down the hill into Okehampton. In the middle of the town you will come to traffic lights opposite the White Hart pub (on the far left). Go straight on at these lights and after one mile, at the top of the hill, turn right (sign-posted Northlew). Continue along this road for half a mile and take the right turn sign-posted Northlew. Continue on this road for 0.3 miles, then go straight on at the Hilltown Cross crossroads. The Grange EC is 1.5 miles further along this road, on the left.

Exit the A30 at Sourton Cross (A386 sign-posted Tavistock/Bideford) following signs to Bideford. Go past the Shell filling station and the Little Chef restaurant on your left, and follow the road for 2.1 miles until you come to a mini-roundabout (Fowley Cross). Turn right, following signs to Bideford. After 0.4 miles turn left at the mini-roundabout (sign-posted to Northlew). After a further 0.2 miles take the second left, sign-posted to Northlew. The Grange EC is 1.5 miles along this road, on the left.

continue North to the A30 main junction at Sourton Cross. Go past the Shell filling station and the Little Chef restaurant on your left, and follow the road for 2.1 miles until you come to a mini-roundabout (Fowley Cross).
