Event Classes
The following classes are available for the South Nottinghamshire Pony Club OPEN DRESSAGE COMPETITION 2023
Entries and Entry Fees
Pre-entry ONLY via Horse Events
Classes 1 – 2 £12 per class
Classes 3 – 8 £17 per class, £14 for South Nottinghamshire members
All entries incur a non-refundable booking fee payable to Horse Events.

All hats must be tagged with the pink hat tag, tagging available on the day
TEAM COMPETITION
TEAM COMPETITION
Branches/Centres may enter a team of three or four in the Dressage Area qualifying competitions: classes 3, 5, 7 and 9. The four can compete at different levels or all at the same level or a mixture of the two. The team must comprise of at least three members (i.e.one member may ride two horses) and the top three scores to count. The winning Branch/Centre team at each Area competition will qualify for the Spring Festival. If any of the individual qualifiers are in a qualifying team their place will be passed down the line. All results will be published on Pony Club Results
Rosettes
Sashes for the winners, rosettes to 6th place
Rules
First rounds will be run in accordance with the 2023 Pony Club Dressage Rule Book and Barrier Animal Health Dressage Spring Festival rules available on the Pony Club website.

Entry fee refunded up to close of entries, thereafter only if the place is filled from any waitlist.
If for any reason the event is cancelled refunds will be issued minus an admin fee and booking fee

This event is being organised by South Nottinghamshire Pony Club . Equine Bookings is acting as the booking agent for this event, enabling you to book online, for which you will be charged a booking fee per space which will be added to your cart.
As booking agents, we accept no responsibility for the actual provision of any event for which you purchase event tickets for. Our responsibilities are limited to providing the online platform to enable you to purchase tickets. The booking fee is the separate non-refundable charge we make to you for facilitating the booking. Your contract is held with the Promoter/event organiser.
We only share your data with that of the third party organiser of the specific event you entered. We do not share your data with third parties for marketing purposes. The Organisers of the events published on the Horse Events website have all agreed to the following statement before we published the event and give them access to your data for the purpose of entering their event.
Venue Information
Located at Nottingham University facilities include
Mary King Arena
The centre’s 60 x 40 metres indoor riding arena includes:
- a 279-person seating gallery
- indoor cross country and show jumps
- a camera system to record training and research
- a large screen with a record and playback facility.
Outdoor riding school
- 60 x 40 metres with waxed sand and fibre surface
- enclosed by fences
- fully floodlit
- full range of showjumps and 3 cross country fences.
Research arena
- 40 x 20 metres waxed sand surface enclosed by fencing to allow loose schooling
- observation holes in the fence to reduce influence on natural behaviour.
Stabling
- a variety of housing for stabling horses from individual stabling in American barns to crew yards and pens
Park Hill
Located a short drive from our main equestrian centre, Park Hill is home to:
- five re-homed semi-feral ponies
- grazing paddocks with field shelters, a round pen and an all-weather surface area for working with the horses.
Equine Centre Classroom
- seats 24
- fully installed audio visual equipment.
Livery
- with stabling for over 30 DIY student liveries
Performance Analysis Room
- mechanical horse
- iJoy Ride
- Balimo chair
- Tekscan pressure testing equipment and mirrors.
Technical Room
- computer equipment for use during project work
- used for downloading data from cameras, heart rate monitors, mobile eye and other data collecting equipment.

Health & Safety. Organisers of this event have taken reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the instructions of the organisers and all the officials and stewards.
Legal Liability. Save for the death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the organisers, or anyone for whom they are in law responsible, neither the organisers of this event or The Pony Club nor any agent, employee or representative of these bodies, nor the landlord or his tenant, accepts any liability for any accident, loss, damage, injury or illness to horses, owners, riders, spectators, land, cars, their contents and accessories, or any other person or property whatsoever. Entries are only accepted on this basis.
