Entries & Entry Fees
All entries online at former.horse-events.co.uk
Entries are subject to a non refundable booking fee as stated online
Rules of the Rally:
Dress Code Members for all Rufford Pony Club events
Rufford Polo and Sweatshirt or white Shirt and Pony Club Tie, Black, Brown, Navy White or Beige Jodhpurs.
Jodhpur or Long Boots (No Trainers, Wellies or Muckers allowed whilst riding)
Riding hat conforming to Pony Club Standard (tagged) – for XC skull caps must be worn.
Up to standard body protectors required for XC.
Any new members attending for the first time or if any member has recently purchased a new hat your hat must be checked and tagged before you are allowed to ride.
Long hair must be secured neatly / worn in a hair net.
No Jewellery allowed.
RUFFORD PONY CLUB RALLY GUIDANCE
It is the parent/guardian’s responsibility to ensure both rider and horse are fit to complete the session.

Vaccination requirements (it is the member/parent’s responsibility to ensure compliance before booking – vaccination checks will take place):
Equine Vaccinations:
All horses/ponies entering the event site must comply with the Pony Club Vaccination guidelines (effective 1st Jan 2023) – passports must accompany all horses/ponies and spot checks will be undertaken:
- An initial primary course of two vaccinations must be given: the second vaccination must be administered within 21-92 days of the first vaccination.
- Horses may attend gatherings 7 days after receiving the second vaccination of the primary course.
- The first booster must be administered within 7 calendar months following the date of the administration of the second vaccination of the primary course
- Booster vaccinations must be administered at a maximum of 12 months intervals.
For clarity: no horse or pony may compete/attend and event on the same day as a relevant injection is given or on any of the 6 days following such an injection
Passports must accompany horses to all events (legal requirement) and should be presented to the event organiser for checking on arrival.
Withdrawals & Refunds
No Refunds after close of entry
If the event is cancelled for any reason entry fees will be refunded excluding Horse-Events booking fee less 40p admin costs
Event Booking Information
This event is being organised by Rufford Pony Club. Equine Bookings is acting as the booking agent for this event, enabling you to book online, for which you will be charged a booking fee per space which will be added to your cart.
As booking agents, we accept no responsibility for the actual provision of any event for which you purchase event tickets for. Our responsibilities are limited to providing the online platform to enable you to purchase tickets. The booking fee is the separate non-refundable charge we make to you for facilitating the booking. Your contract is held with the Promoter/event organiser.
We only share your data with that of the third party organiser of the specific event you entered. We do not share your data with third parties for marketing purposes. The Organisers of the events published on the Horse Events website have all agreed to the following statement before we published the event and give them access to your data for the purpose of entering their event.
Venue Information
Located at Nottingham University facilities include
Mary King Arena
The centre’s 60 x 40 metres indoor riding arena includes:
- a 279-person seating gallery
- indoor cross country and show jumps
- a camera system to record training and research
- a large screen with a record and playback facility.
Outdoor riding school
- 60 x 40 metres with waxed sand and fibre surface
- enclosed by fences
- fully floodlit
- full range of showjumps and 3 cross country fences.
Research arena
- 40 x 20 metres waxed sand surface enclosed by fencing to allow loose schooling
- observation holes in the fence to reduce influence on natural behaviour.
Stabling
- a variety of housing for stabling horses from individual stabling in American barns to crew yards and pens
Park Hill
Located a short drive from our main equestrian centre, Park Hill is home to:
- five re-homed semi-feral ponies
- grazing paddocks with field shelters, a round pen and an all-weather surface area for working with the horses.
Equine Centre Classroom
- seats 24
- fully installed audio visual equipment.
Livery
- with stabling for over 30 DIY student liveries
Performance Analysis Room
- mechanical horse
